At Kappio, we place great value on the trust placed in us. Children must feel safe and be given the space to develop. The pedagogical policy outlines the general pedagogical principles governing pedagogical practices in our groups.

The policy aims to provide the safest and healthiest possible play and living environment for the children. In doing so, children are protected against risks with serious consequences and learn to deal with minor risks.

At Kappio, we seek connection with your child’s world. This also applies to the connection between childcare and home. In this partnership, you, as the primary caregiver, form an arrangement with the pedagogical professional. Our parent policy describes how we prefer to shape our contact with parents.

Kappio consciously collaborates with primary schools because it is simply very beneficial for both children and parents.

Through good communication, we can coordinate matters such as activities, settling in Group 1, or providing extra support when needed. This is reflected in joint celebrations and sometimes even in an integrated child center, where childcare and school truly work together. In this way, we create a single trusted environment together in which children can develop through play. Read in our handbook how we ensure a warm transition from childcare to education.

Your child will be given time to calmly adjust to the new environment. In our settling-in policy, you can read how we approach this together with you and what Kappio does for children who have difficulty adjusting and are, for example, sad when saying goodbye.

It is always good to make clear agreements. We are happy to do the same with you as a parent regarding your child(ren)'s childcare.

Every year, we ensure that the terms and conditions align well with the needs of the children and the quality of the childcare. In addition, we adhere to the 'General Terms and Conditions for Childcare, Daycare and Out-of-School Care' of the Childcare Branch Organization, of which Kappio is a member.
